This project involved developing a cohesive editorial illustration style for o9’s blog articles, newsletters, and online advertising campaigns. o9 is a B2B software company focused on optimizing companies’ supply chains with AI. The goal was to create an editorial style that reflects reality, communicates the positive impact o9 can bring to a company, and inspires a new status quo.
The editorial style is designed to stand out in a crowded digital landscape. The challenge was to visually translate complex topics like technology, innovation, networks, and trending themes within the supply-chain universe. The editorial style supports these themes through simple yet emotive visuals that bring strong character to the overall brand.
Concept & Creative Approach
The creative direction is based on simplified focal point of a scene, object or concept that could be a part of a larger story. The sketches are supposed to support both literal and metaphorical themes like supply chain or revenue growth. Each piece is centered around adding emotional depth and character while still maintain the formalities of corporate illustration.
Style and Color
The final illustrations are rendered as vector-based visuals, emphasizing minimalistic silhouettes and vibrant gradients. A key element of the style is the color saturation, staying true to pastels and a lighter palette to maintain an optimistic atmosphere, even when working with industrial themes.

Outcome and value
Across the o9 brand, the editorial visuals function as a flexible library that connects to multiple content pieces, including white papers and promotional ads. They stand out as a unique branding element that humanizes and complements the professional copy style. The visuals have increased engagement and made the brand more recognizable across various digital platforms.
